Prof. Dr Aslı Memişoğlu, H.E., spouse of the Turkish Minister of Health, along with a five-member delegation, visited Guanɡ'anmen Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences on September 9th, 2025. The delegation was accompanied by representatives from the National Health Commission’s Center for International Exchanges and Cooperation. Mr. Lyu Wenliang, Deputy Director of the hospital attended the meeting alongside responsible staff from the Hospital Office and the International Cooperation Office.

During the visit, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on the modern clinical application of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and prospects for international collaboration.

The delegation observed TCM characteristic therapies such as acupuncture and moxibustion at the Acupuncture and Moxibustion Department. In the Rheumatology Ward, hospital experts introduced systematic and personalized TCM diagnosis and treatment approaches for rheumatic and autoimmune diseases, sharing relevant clinical research outcomes.

The visit enhanced mutual understanding in the field of health between China and Turkey and opened new avenues for cooperation in traditional medicine. Under the framework of the “Health Silk Road,” Guang'anmen Hospital will continue to leverage the unique strengths of TCM and contribute to its global promotion.
