Singapore Health Minister Ong Ye Kung Visited Guang'anmen Hospital

On November 21, Ong Ye Kung, Singapore Health Minister, led a delegation to visit Guang 'anmen Hospital, accompanied by Wu Zhendou, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).


Minister Ong Ye Kung and his delegation visited the history exhibition of the hospital, the outpatient Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, and learned the construction of the department and the application of TCM characteristics and advantages in clinical practice.

Vice President Lyu Wenliang introduced the hospital's developing process, the construction of characteristic disciplines and international exchange and cooperation, hoping to further strengthen cooperation with Singapore in the field of medicine and health and jointly promote the development of traditional medicine worldwide.


Zheng Honggang, deputy director of the Department of Oncology, Wu Jiani, deputy chief physician of the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Zhou Xinyao, deputy chief physician of the Department of Rheumatology, and Zhao Yuanchen, deputy chief physician of the Department of Respiratory respectively introduced the achievements of their department in scientific research, innovation, talent training, and TCM featured medical treatment. 

The participants exchanged and discussed the international promotion of integrated TCM and Western medicine treatment for cancer, the transformation of herbal decoction to proprietary herbal medicine, TCM diagnosis and treatment indicators, as well as diseases for which TCM proves effective with relative advantages.

Minister Ong Ye Kung fully affirmed the positive role played by the hospital in promoting the global development of traditional medicine.
