The Delegation From Nepal Ayurveda Medical Council Visited Guang'anmen Hospital

On May 21, Dr. Santosh Kumar Thakur, chairman of the delegation of the Nepal Ayurveda Medical Council, visited Guang'anmen hospital. 


Lyu Wenliang, vice president of the hospital, extended a warm welcome to the delegation of the Nepal Ayurveda Medical Council, and introduced the general situation of the hospital, discipline construction, personnel training and other aspects. He stated that traditional medicine has long played an important role in promoting the development of healthcare in China and Nepal and improving the health and well-being of the people. He hoped that the two institutions will take this visit as an opportunity to further strengthen communication, learn from each other and jointly promote the high-quality development of traditional medicine in both countries.


Chairman Dr. Santosh Kumar Thakur fully affirmed the achievements of the hospital in promoting the inheritance of traditional Chinese medicine, scientific research and innovative development and disciplinary construction, and briefly introduced the development of traditional medicine in Nepal. He stated that China's efforts in protecting, developing, and promoting traditional medicine are worth learning from in Nepal and other countries. In recent years, China and Nepal have had frequent exchanges and established various cooperation mechanisms, which will undoubtedly help promote the research, development, and innovation of traditional medicine in both countries.


The delegation visited the history exhibition of the hospital, the outpatient department of acupuncture and moxibustion and the emergency department successively, and had an in-depth understanding of the advantages and representative scientific research achievements of acupuncture and moxibustion and acute and critical care diagnosis and treatment.


This exchange is an important part of the further implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding Between the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Health and Population of Nepal on Cooperation in Traditional Medicine. The two sides will continue to conduct in-depth exchanges in the field of traditional medicine and make greater contributions to promoting traditional medicine to contribute to the community of human health.
