Recently, the biobank of Guang'anmen Hospital has received the "Approval for the Preservation of Human Genetic Resources in China" led by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The opening of the biobank provides strong support for the establishment of the National TCM Metabolic Disease Clinical Medicine Center, the National TCM Medical Center, the National TCM Inheritance and Innovation Center, the construction of key disciplines and key specialties, as well as the enhancement of the core competitiveness of the hospital.

In August 2021, our hospital officially started the construction of the biobank. On January 18, 2022, our hospital participated in the video review meeting of the application for the national administrative license for the preservation of human genetic resources, and recently the biobank received the "Approval for the Preservation of Human Genetic Resources in China" led by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The biobank of Guang'anmen Hospital is a research laboratory, covering an area of 205 square meters. It can conduct normalized and standardized sample preparation, processing, preservation, storage, quality control and data management.

The biobank of Guang 'anmen Hospital will provide a guarantee for the standardized collection and storage of clinical biological samples and information resources with TCM characteristics and integrated TCM and western medicine in the process of TCM treatment of serious and difficult diseases in our hospital.
It will enhance the strength of the domestic " TCM characteristic" biobank, build an all-round cooperation and service platform for hospitals, scientific research institutes and pharmaceutical enterprises, provide important strategic resources and efficient sharing services for TCM scientific research, and promote the high quality and modern development of TCM.
