On October 26, the "Guang'an Cardiovascular Disease Summit Forum of Integrated TCM and Western Medicine and Distinguished Veteran TCM Masters' Experience Inheritance and TCM Intervention on Mitochondrial Energy Metabolism Research Progress Training Course," hosted by Guang'an Hospital and jointly organized by the National Famous TCM Master Wang Jie Inheritance Studio, and cardiovascular department of the hospital, was held in Beijing. The theme of this conference is "Inheriting, Transforming and Developing, Upholding Integrity and Technological Innovation". TCM master Xue Boshou, academician Lu Jun, academician Cong Bin, academician Wu Yiling of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and other well-known experts and scholars made special lectures. Li Dejuan, Deputy Director of the Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Li Kun, Vice President of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Wang Jie, National Famous TCM Master, and Liu Zhen, Secretary of the Party Committee of Guang'anmen Hospital, delivered speeches. Li Dejuan, Deputy Director of the Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, pointed out that the development of TCM is an important part of the new era and a major event for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. We should pay attention to using modern science to interpret the principles of TCM, strengthen the basic theoretical research of TCM, improve the talent training mechanism, promote the construction of advantageous departments of TCM, improve the development mechanism of TCM, and build a research platform for TCM.
Academician Lu Jun pointed out in his lecture that information technology is an important driving force for the development of human society, and digital health shoulders the mission of building a health and medical industry centered on people's health. Supported by the "three-step" strategy, we will implement plans for the development of the TCM artificial intelligence industry, jointly build a digital health technology industry system, and promote the high-quality development of TCM with higher-level electronic information technology.
Academician Wu Yiling systematically explained the inheritance, innovation, and development of the theory of collateral diseases based on the theory of Yingwei. Combining the mechanism of prevention and treatment of microvascular diseases, he used theory as the basis and clinical approach to promote the transformation of theory and develop new herbal medicines. Combining modern science and technology, he revealed its relevant mechanism of action through experimental research, and verified its clinical effectiveness through evidence-based research, providing new ideas for solving clinical problems in the cardiovascular field.
Academician Cong Bin, with the title "Innovative Development Ideas for the Integration of TCM and Western Medicine" and taking General Secretary Xi Jinping's latest interpretation of TCM as the starting point, pointed out the importance of the transformation of medical research paradigms and emphasized the principles of integrated TCM and Western medicine research:1. Always adhere to inheritance and development, and move towards the same direction; 2. Having innovative thinking without being far-fetched; 3. Based on interdisciplinary knowledge; 4. Originating from practice and taking practice as the destination to innovate the development model of integrated TCM and Western medicine.
Xue Boshou, a TCM master, proposed that TCM is a comprehensive and effective intervention, which is where the strong vitality of TCM lies. The highest secret for improving the efficacy of TCM is "treating diseases before they occur", that is to move the threshold of disease diagnosis and treatment forward. Xue Yanxing, the inheritor of Xue Boshou, elaborated on the origins, ideas, TCM and philosophy, and experience gained from treating diseases before they occur.
Wang Jie, national TCM master, delivered a keynote speech on "Research and Practice of Coronary Heart Disease Syndrome Factors". He pointed out that TCM intervention can optimize the combination of syndrome factors, establish a comprehensive prevention and control model for coronary heart disease based on syndrome factors. We would use the latest cutting-edge technology to study and reveal the material basis of coronary heart disease syndrome factors, and to explain the scientific connotation of TCM intervention.
