Recently, Bing Dwen Dwen and Shuey Rhon Rhon, who had just finished their work at the Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics, came to Guang'anmen Hospital to express their appreciations to the front-line medical staff and sent a letter of thanks from the national team and the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee.
During the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, the medical staff of Guang'anmen Hospital worked in various positions, such as inside and outside the stadium, the national team and pre-hospital first aid, to fully cooperate with the Medical Services Provision of the Winter Olympic Games and make contributions to the successful holding of the Winter Olympic Games.
In the Winter Olympics, Wu Hao, a medical professor of the International Medical Department, and Tian Jialu, the nurse of the emergency department, Guang'anmen Hospital, as the first generation of ski doctors in China, with their professional medical technology and excellent skiing ability, successfully completed the medical services at alpine ski track and the Yunding Ski Park, and using traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) such as acupuncture and Chinese massage to relieve injuries for medical teammates. They were not only trusted by the athletes, but also called "the team doctor of the medical team" by their teammates.
Dai Yuanhua, the deputy head nurse of the health care ward and Wang Yuhui, the supervisor nurse of the oncology department, as doping inspectors, overcame severe weather, high altitude and language barriers and worked hard for the purity of each gold medal. Highly praised by the Olympic Organizing Committee, they had also made friends from all over the world through providing TCM services.
Wang Weidong, a medical professor of the Department of Psychology and Wang Yi, director of the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition, used TCM therapy and combined with psychology and nutrition to adjust the body and mind of the national team ice athletes.
In order to meet the needs of Beijing's urban emergency medical services during the Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics, Guang'anmen Hospital selected an elite group of 20 medical professionals to form a medical service team to support the Beijing Emergency Center and undertake emergency response such as referral of the wounded, basic life support and accidental injury first aid.
Guang'anmen Hospital is the designated hospital for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and Paralympics and the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics. All the staff in the hospital have always adhered to the front line of epidemic prevention and control, learned the indomitable spirit of the Winter Olympic athletes, shouldered the responsibility and mission of the National TCM Medical Team and made contributions in safeguarding the people' lives, health and safety in the city.
