On March 15, 2023, with the support of the Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), the Training Series Preparatory to the 10th Beijing International Annual Webinar of TCM Nursing Care, jointly organized by Beijing TCM International Exchange and Cooperation Center and Guang'anmen Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, started online.

A total of 74 front-line nurses from 25 local TCM hospitals and Beijing union medical college hospital participated in this training. The training began with the learning of General Secretary Xi's important instructions on TCM, encompassing "integrity, innovation, inheritance, and development of TCM ", promoting scientific research and innovation in TCM nursing, driving the integration of TCM and modern science, promoting the complementary and coordinated development of TCM and Western medicine, and providing better quality health services for the people.

Cui Yongqiang, project leader of Beijing International Training of TCM Nursing Care, focused on 7 Primary Features of TCM Nursing Care that were first announced by 2022 China International Fair for Trade in Services during the training.
1.Unique perspective and approach to patient care and caring; 2.Requiring special training on TCM and a different skill set; 3.Emphasizing holism, mind-body intervention and care based on syndrome differentiation of TCM; 4.Independent nursing diagnosis, assessment and plan based on theories of Yin-Yang balance, Qi and acupuncture points; 5.Helping patients stay positive through being mindful of any symptom improvement; 6.No longer only hospital-based care but home-based care; 7.Prioritizing integrative nursing care-using TCM nursing care never ever means bucking modern nursing.

The 10th Beijing International Annual Webinar of TCM Nursing Care will be held on June 13, 2023 in the form of combining online and onsite. Speakers from the United States, Spain, the Czech Republic, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Iran, Norway, Malta and other countries will attend the conference.
